Lakehouse Publishing

Lakehouse Publishing is the imprint under which Jan Mitchell publishes her books. She uses the Ingram Spark publishing platform, a subsidiary of Lightning Source which runs printing facilities around the world, including one in Melbourne. She chose this method of Indie publishing because of the professionalism of the company and the ease of dealing with them.
During 202I, she also published two books for a friend and his uncle.
For Bruce Walker, she edited and published a sailing memoir, A Passion for Sailing. Ian and Jan have known Bruce for many years. He designed and with assistance from his wife, Cynthia, built his own family yacht, Aragunnu, in which the Walker family sailed many sea miles of the South Pacific.
When he saw his nephew’s book, Dr WD (Bill) Walker wanted me to edit and publish his memoir of a life in medicine. This book is called Hard Yards – the life and times of a Third World Plastic Surgeon. Dr Bill Wallker is known for his work in Newcastle, NSW and also several third world countries.
